Stratford News: Helicopter At Booth Park

SKY Health landed their medical transport helicopter at Booth Memorial Park this afternoon for training.   There is also a presence from the Fire,  EMS as well as hospital representatives from Bridgeport Hospital.  Once the helicopter is on the ground there will be several training scenarios of approaching the helicopter with blades turning for Fire/EMS to practice loading a patient in the rear of the helicopter. Fairfield News: Joke On School Bus Turns Serious

3:44pm--#Fairfield CT-- A school bus driver joking with the students had all the kids on board laughing except for one girl who did not know the bus driver was kidding around.  The bus driver joked he was tired and play acted as if he was sleepy and yawning, all the kids laughed but one who called her mother and said the bus driver might be drunk or having a medical emergency while traveling down Reef Road.  She gave a landmark of the Seagrape.  Lieutenant Keith Broderick told me officers on patrol observed the bus and found nothing out of the ordinary and followed the bus, stopping it in the 1000 block of Fairfield Beach Road.  Field sobriety tests found the…

Bridgeport News: Hall School Lock-In/Lock Out

3:04pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Hall School located at  290 Clermont Avenue went into lock-in/lock-0ut after initial reports were that a man with a gun entered the school and left with two students.    Deputy Chief Adam R. Radzimirski told me that after investigating  and review of school videos it was just a disturbance outside the school and no gun was involved.  All persons involved were located interviewed.  Out of an abundance of caution the school was placed in the lock-in/lock out which is no one can enter the school or exit the school but can move about inside the school.  While the investigation was taking place a number police cars surrounded the school.

Ansonia News: Mother’s Call Places School On Lockdown

#Ansonia CT--12/15/2015-- Calls from a mother of an Emmett O'Brien Technical School student caused a lock down of the school and she was arrested.  She called the school twice  "very upset and crying hysterically according to the state police report.  The report also said "her son calls her names and hates her"  and continued "He is like the kid that killed the babies of Columbine and he is an angry child".   The student was searched for weapons and interviewed.  During the investigation no evidence of weapons or the ability for the son to obtain weapons was founded.  The mother, Leslie Teixeria of Ruth Street in Bridgeport was arrested for breach of peace and released on a $2,500 bond.  The report…

Fairfield CT--(Fairfield News: Blight Continues To Plague Fairfield) - Fairfield CT–All the nice improvements that have happened on Kings Highway East with the new Walgreens replacing the eye sore that was once Brown Brothers Furniture and rundown apartments have given a uplift to the neighborhood.  Even the Hookah Lounge has remodeled.  What continues to be an eye sore to the neighborhood is the building across the street from Walgreens.  What once was a Volkswagen dealership is now overflow parking for a local car dealer.  While the commercials for the dealership jokes the dad will never retire from the dealership, maybe he should take a ride down the street and see how this dilapidated building on the property he is renting…

Norwalk Community Police Unit held its annual Children’s Holiday Party

#Norwalk CT--The Community Police Unit held its annual Children’s Holiday Party at Columbus Magnet School on Saturday December 12, 2015. The Norwalk P.A.L. sponsored event provides lunch, entertainment and a gift to all the one hundred fifty children that were invited. In addition, the Community Police Unit raffled off thirty-seven bicycles. The B.J. Ryan’s Foundation provided food for the event and Santa, aka retired Norwalk Officer Joe Kubik handed out gifts. Community Police Sergeant Tom Fern stated that unfortunately for some in Norwalk, the holiday season is just like any other day, as they struggle to put another meal on the table.
