As a child, I emigrated from Taiwan to the United States. I moved from a country that was always under the threat of Communist attack and martial law to a country built upon the principles of freedom and liberty. During that move, I can remember viewing American military personnel as protectors of democracy – symbols of the greatest nation in the world. Since then, I have tried to view Veterans Day as an opportunity to remind that we need to honor, recognize and respect all of our veterans, all of the time, not just during recognition days. 9:24pm--#Bridgeport CT--A suspected was taken in to custody after a pursuit which pretty much went around in circles in the Maplewood/Wood Avenue area. The vehicle was wanted on motor vehicle charges. Police were going to break off the chase because they had his marker number that matched the vehicle garaged on Madison Avenue.
