Governor Reaction To Gun Laws Being Upheld

Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Lt. UPDATE: Bridgeport Police Department Investigates Stabbing Related Homicide

  #Bridgeport, CT Bridgeport Police Press Release -- Today, the Bridgeport Police Department provided an update on the active investigation of last night’s stabbing related homicide.  On October 18 at 11:05 p.m., police officers responded to calls regarding an assault with a firearm on Goldenrod Ave. near the corner of Madison Ave.  Upon arrival at the scene, police officers found a 28-year-old male suffering from multiple stab wounds to the chest, side, and stomach.  The victim was immediately transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital by ambulance.   Regarding the incident that resulted in the victim being stabbed, witnesses report that four masked men -- some displaying a firearm -- entered the victim’s home. The four suspects ransacked the victim’s house, and detectives are investigating…

Bridgeport News: Man Shot During Home Invasion

Video Report--11:00pm--#Bridgeport CT--Bridgeport Police are investigating a home invasion at 665 Golden Rod Avenue around 11pm Sunday night. When police arrived they found an unresponsive male shot in the chest. He was rushed to St. Vincent's Hospital, his condition is unknown at this time. Police are looking for four Hispanic males wearing ski masks who fled in a dark sedan north on Golden Rod Avenue towards Main Street.

Bridgeport Police Department Arrests Man for Stolen Vehicle

#Bridgeport, Conn. (October 16, 2015 Press Release) – The Bridgeport Police Department announced an arrest of a man for stealing a motor vehicle.  On October 14, 2015 at around 4:20 p.m., police officers were traveling south on Dover St. towards Boston Ave. in their police vehicle  The police officers observed a white Hyundai Accent turning onto Dover St. from Boston Ave. going north.  Knowing that a white Hyundai Accent was on the Bridgeport Police Department stolen vehicle list, police officers checked the plates against the stolen vehicle list.   Police officers matched the license plate of the Hyundai with a vehicle on the list.  Officers then made a U-turn, and caught up to the vehicle at the intersection of Dover…
