1:03pm–#Trumbull CT–#Fairfield CT– A man wanted for attempting to run over a Trumbull Police Officer at the Trumbull Mall is in custody but after hitting a citizen’s car sending it into a garage with serious injuries according to sources. I’m told the car was being chased with six Trumbull Police cars in two on the Merritt Parkway when they exited the highway at Black Rock Turnpike and crashed on Congress Street near Hoyden’s Hill. Police would not let me anywhere near the scene which is very unusual for Fairfield so I contacted Frank Recchia of News12 to dispatch the News12 helicopter.
