Bridgeport News: Heroes Train At Pleasure Beach
#Bridgeport CT--First responders conducted a training exercise Tuesday on Pleasure Beach rescuing a man who fell and was injured while walking on the breakwaters. “First and foremost, we want people to enjoy our parks and waterfront and to be safe,” said Mayor Bill Finch. “This is essential training that I certainly hope we will never need to utilize. We need to be prepared and we are.” According to Scott Appleby, the city’s Director of Emergency Management and Homeland Security, the Pleasure Beach training occurs annually. Police are looking for two suspects: Suspect 1: Black Male Medium Build Dark Sweatshirt White Logo On Back Red T-shirt Suspect 2: Black Male Stocky Build Ball Cap With Sticker On Brim Dark Army Style Jacket armed with a black handgun entered 175 Pequonnock Street (George's Market) Suspect 1 appeared to be the lookout while Suspect 2 performed the robbery.
