Bridgeport News: Press Conference Cancelled

Today’s 1 p.m. press conference with Mayor Finch and Police Chief Gaudett has been cancelled.   There was to be an announcement about public safety initiatives,  yesterday's press release said.“Public safety is our top priority in Bridgeport,” said Mayor Finch. “The city is safer than it has been in 40 years, and we’re working to do even better. The future of our kids and grandkids is at stake.”   I was hoping to hear about the mounted patrols.

“Tree Dreams” Now at Discovery Museum

Local artist Amy Oestreicher will be at an afternoon meet and greet on Sunday July 26th from 3pm to 5pm, at the Discovery Museum in Bridgeport, CT. Her work is currently on display in the Museum’s Artist Gallery. Amy Oestreicher is a twenty-eight year old artist, actress, musician, orator and writer residing in Westport, CT. The fulfillment of her dream to act was shockingly interrupted when, at the age of eighteen, she suffered a blood clot that left her in a coma for months and unable to eat or drink for over three years. Almost thirty surgeries later, Amy is still courageously fighting medical setbacks, and uses her painting and mixed media creations to transcend ten years of emotional and physical trauma. Bridgeport News: Mounted Patrol

Tatiana Julitta Maldonado sent in this photo of the Bridgeport Mounted Patrol patrolling Trumbull Garden's today.  I requested an interview regarding this and Bridgeport Police Department​ pressperson Tim Hammoll said the captain in charge of the mounted patrol said the  patrol is being used throughout the city.  There is a 1pm press conference in Chief Gaudette's office tomorrow public safety initiatives so I'll keep you posted.
