6:40pm–#Bridgeport CT–Firefighters were called to a 3 family house fire at 1775 Noble Avenue.  3 people passing by stopped and knocked on doors getting everyone out to safety.  I tried to interview them but they were just too humble, the great spirit and character I mentioned in an earlier editorial which makes Bridgeport great.    Witnesses tell me the fire started in the 2nd floor back porch and spread to the rest of the apartment building.  Firefighters had the upper hand of the fire in less than an hour and spend the next couple of hours chasing hot spots and overhauling the fire.  There were no reported injuries.  The fire marshal has been called to the scene to investigate the cause of the blaze.

    1. What are your families needs? Maybe we can put something together for your needs. Everyone always asks about clothing sizes and toys. God Bless!

      1. Mr Stephen Krauchick, good morning right now my family and I are staying at the Sunny Side Inn, but we found an apartment on east main street it won’t be ready until Tuesday at 11:00 am, we are in need of a lot of things, our clothing size are for my son is size 50 he is big and tall, my grand-daughter is size 14, my daughter is size 16-18, and I am size 24, I was able to put a part of the security deposit together for a section 8 apartment I only need 300 hundred dollars more to make it up to the full 1200 hundred dollars, you and your family are so kind for helping us, and my family and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts. God bless you.

        1. Hi Julie:

I hope you and you family are doing well. I see they were able to get you relocated. I’m happy to hear that.

Micah, my son and I are still at my brothers. Since I was laid off, I can’t even look for anything until I have a job. No such luck as of yet.

Amanda and the baby, Colton, are doing well. She is staying in a friends empty rental property and had several donation drives set up through the daycare, go fund me, her work, and my ex sister in laws work. They’ve been given furniture and all the basic essentials to get by, so I’m happy for that.

We are all blessed that no one/animal was injured. I’m sorry that we’ve all had to go through this ordeal, but I do believe in the end we will all be stronger and in a better place.

I wish the best for you and your family.

          Sincerely,
          Brandy

      2. Hi Mr. Krauchick,

Thank you so much for your kind offer. We were able to salvage all our clothing/washables. My brothers were able to raise some funds for our 2 families (2nd and 3rd floor). Unfortunately, I had been laid off from my job 2 weeks before the fire, so I’m currently looking for work before we can find a new place to live. We are squeezed into my brother’s house in Stratford.

My niece and great nephew are also looking for a place to live and so many people came together to donate clothes for both of them and toys for me nephew. They were on the top floor so they lost everything. They are in need of dishes, pots, pans, mixing bowls, glasses, mugs, silverware, baking dishes/sheets, cooking utensils, tuperware. They are also in need of a couple of dressers. People have been donating gift cards to either Walmart, Target or Stop n Shop for kitchenware and grocery needs.

Anyone willing to donate would be greatly appreciated.

        Thank you,
        Brandy Tomlinson
