Fairfield News: Stolen Looney Tunes Art

5:20pm--#Fairfield News: Dr. Jeffrey Berkley DDS is down in the mouth after finding one cells from his matched Looney Tunes dental cell set was stolen out of his office some time today.  "Breaking up the set might as well have made the rest worthless" he told me.  The cartoon cells are number from a dental collection he purchased.  The other cell is numbered and is fairly worthless by itself and is identifiable to other collectors as it being stolen. Trumbull Fire Busy

12:44pm--#Trumbull CT-- Long Hill Fire Department was busy this afternoon with back to back calls.  First call was a chimney fire on Colonial Drive which they quickly got under control.  A few minutes later they were called to Stonehouse Road for an odor investigation.  Homeowner says it is a chemical smell in the house.  I've heard no updates on this one at this time.   This report is sponsored by:

Bridgeport Cop Caught Being Awesome!

How about some likes for this Bridgeport Police Officer caught being awesome?!!   A viewer from Trumbull Gardens looked out her window and saw this officer giving assistance to the children who encountered a bicycle break down.  It appears from the photo the chain came off the bicycle and the officer helped put it back on.  I've contacted Bridgeport Police spokesman William Kaempffer who said he doesn't know who the officer is but will get back to me and will try to arrange an interview with him.

Stratford News: Animal Control Needs Your Help

Stratford Animal Control is looking for a dog that bit an 81 year old man who was jogging. The bite occurred on 04/15/15 at approximately 0930am on East Main Street about halfway between Main Street and Wilcoxson Avenue The man received minor puncture wounds to the right forearm and was treated and released from medical care. The dog ran off and is described as a medium size collie type dog with long orange and white fur. Animal Control would like to speak to the owner of the dog to verify that the dog is current on its rabies vaccinations so that the man does not have to receive post-exposure rabies treatments.
