Heroes in Action

#Fairfield CT--Dispatchers at Fairfield Police Department doing some heroic things  with back to back calls this morning.  First they are giving over the phone instructions for CPR until fire, police and EMS arrive.    Now they are coordinating information with a mom, the police and her lost child at a marathon race in town.  The child has been located.  I probably won't know the outcome of the person having the heart attack.  What I do know is that dispatchers do this daily without much recognition.  We are blessed to have great professionals not just in Fairfield but in our entire area.  How about some likes to show your appreciation!

Fairfield News: Fire at Southport Athletic

On March 14, 2015 at 7:36 AM the Fairfield Fire department received multiple reports from I-95 commuters reporting flames coming from the roof of a building near the Delamar Hotel. While responding, a call was received directly from the manager of the Gym at Southport Athletic [formerly known as Southport Racquet Club] 226 Old Post Road Southport reporting a fire on the roof. The building was occupied and classes were in session at the time of the fire.   An off duty Fairfield Fire Department Lieutenant was driving by the building in his private vehicle and saw the flames.
