FAIRFIELD, Connecticut (January 16, 2015) – January is radon awareness month. According to the Environment Protection Agency (EPA), radon is an “odorless, tasteless, invisible gas that is produced by the decay of naturally occurring uranium in soil and water”. Radon can be found in the outside air, and in buildings and houses. Exposure to radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer after smoking. The EPA estimates that every year about 21,000 lung cancer deaths in the United States are due to radon. Shell casing were found in the front where he was probably shot, possibly by a drive by shooting.
