Walk Registration begins at 8:30am    Walk begins at 10:00 am

Walk Like MADD, the signature walk of Mothers Against Drunk Driving, is a fun, community-driven 5K event that raises funds and saves lives. Every step taken and every dollar raised supports MADD’s initiatives in CT, including the Campaign to Eliminate Drunk Driving which calls for ignition  interlocks for all drunk drivers; sobriety checkpoints and/or saturation patrols; community support; and the development and exploration of advanced technologies that will one day make a vehicle inoperable by a drunk driver.

DoingItLocal is run by Steve Krauchick. Steve has always had interest with breaking news even as an early teen, opting to listen to the Watergate hearings instead of top 40 on the radio. His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.
