4:22pm--#Fairfield CT-- First responders are on scene of a crash in the 800 block of Jennings Road near High Street. Thre appeared to be injuries but nothing serious. 2:31pm---#Bridgeport CT-- Police are investigating shots fired at Maplewood Avenue and Poplar Street. Witnesses tell me that there were 5-6 shots fired at a car parked on Poplar Street in front of the Maple Mart Variety Store. The car then fled down Poplar Street towards Dewey Street. The store was closed when we arrived, we are uncertain if it was due to the holiday or the shooting. Two gun shot victims turned up at St. Vincent's' Hospital a short time later. Firefighters kept peeling back the thick metal flashing and roofing material until they found no charred wood before calling it a night.
