U.S. MARSHALS SERVICE & BRIDGEPORT POLICE JOINT SEX OFFENDER OPERATION

#Bridgeport, CT - July 10, 2014 -- On Thursday, July 10, 2014, the United States Marshals Service and Bridgeport Police Department conducted a joint operation to locate and apprehend non-compliant sex offenders in the Bridgeport area. The operation targeted approximately 40 individuals that had arrest warrants from Bridgeport Police Department for Failure to Register as Sex Offender, Failure to Verify Addresses as a Sex Offender, Sexual Assault, Violation of Probation.  The operation resulted in the arrest of  26 individuals.  All individuals were taken to Bridgeport Superior Court to be presented on the charges. “The bottom line is that we will not stand for people abusing our children or any of our residents,” said Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch. “As a parent, and as mayor…
