I met with Carl from Salerno's Apizza at 1398 Barnum Ave, Stratford, one of the original and still one of the best pizza places anywhere. When Carl's father started in 1947 there were only about 5 pizza places around in the area. If you are familiar with them you like me am looking forward to their Plum Tomato Pies usually available in mid August. I cannot even begin to describe how delicious they are. #Fairfield CT- State Representative Tony Hwang along with Fairfield’s 1st responders (Fairfield Fire and Police Department) held an informational press conference on the use of Naloxone by front-line 1st responders in combating Heroin (opiate) overdose. Representative Hwang along with Fairfield 1st responders worked with the Dept. of Public Health Commissioner Jewel Mullen, legislative and medical advisors to allow all trained first responders to carry Naloxone – commonly known as Narcan, a non-addictive drug that binds to and blocks opiate receptors, temporarily reversing the effects of heroin overdose.
