Today I was visiting Marlon the Baker at his food truck outside St. Vincent's Hospital.  I had mentioned to him that we just started translating our pages on the DoingItLocal.com website to Spanish and Portuguese.    Marlon told me to visit his brother Nate  up the road at 3900 Main Street in Bridgeport.  He has an Allstate Office there and they also speak both languages at the office to serve their customers. Bridgeport News: Four Arrested at Post World Cup Gathering

#Bridgeport, CT – June 25, 2014– Four people were arrested Monday during a large celebration following a Word Cup match. A large number of people in vehicles and on foot flooded the streets in the area of Madison Avenue Monday evening at the conclusion of a soccer match. Police set up traffic points to help manage the crowds. At 6:11 p.m., an officer directing traffic observed a Honda Civic doing a “burn out” in the middle of the road, revving its engine and spinning its tires. Officers flagged down  the motorist, Filipe Rodrigues-DeSouza, 23, of Bridgeport, after he almost struck another vehicle. Malloy today announced that he is creating a working group to examine and improve the provision of services to members of the intellectual and developmental disabilities community.
