Bridgeport News: SUV into Building

4:01pm--#Bridgeport CT--One woman was injured and transported to the hospital after the SUV she was driving down Hollister Avenue left the road and crashed into the building at the corner of Stratford Avenue.  Both the vehicle and building received significant damage.  The woman was transported to the hospital, her injuries are not known at this time.  The building inspector was called to the scene.  They need to call our friends at Servpro to make it like it never even happened!

Bridgeport News: Police Investigate Shooting

 A 26-year-old man was shot in the chest on Logan Street this morning.  The victim, identified as Jamal Wiggins, was shot in front of 423 Logon St.  He was taken by private vehicle to Bridgeport Hospital, where he remains in critical condition. According to witnesses, he was with a group of people in front of the home when two shooters began firing from across the street. The evidence supports that story and also indicates that at least one person from the group with Wiggins returned fire. Detectives responded and processed the crime scene. Bridgeport News: Strong Armed Robbery

11:23pm--#Bridgeport CT--Police on scene where an elderly man was beat up and robbed outside George's Cafe at 890 Iranistan Avenue.  Responsible are two Hispanic males who fled on foot down Iranistan Avenue.  The man's wallet, phone and credit cards were taken.  EMS on the way, reports say he was beaten pretty good.

10:55pm--#Bridgeport CT--Police received a number of calls of shots fired at Greene Homes on Highland Avenue.  Reports say the shots were fired from a dark colored car with teens in the car doing the shooting.  Stay safe, last night's shooting victim was hit looking out the window at a disturbance!
