12:01pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Police were called to the Read School at 130 Ezra Street for an incident that took place yesterday. Apparently a 13 year old boy brought a knife on the bus and threatened a girl. The boy responsible for bringing in the knife is in the principal's office. A picture of the knife was produced to the principal but no knife has been found. Police are investigating. 1:20am--#Bridgeport CT--Police are investigating a shooting that took place on William Street. Shots were fired from a dark work van, the person then got out of the the van and fled in smaller truck towards Barnum Avenue. No word if anyone or anything hit.

Human Services Director Barbara Butler today announced the eleventh year of the “Ceremonies and Celebrations” program in response to requests from school staff for assistance in purchasing new clothing for graduating middle and high school students. “Last year, thanks to the generosity of the Westport community and the schools’ PTAs, 40 Westport students were able to purchase new special event clothing for their graduations from middle and high school,” Butler said. “This year, the number of requests is considerably higher.” “The public can help fill the need for this year’s graduating students and lift a bit of the expense burden from their families by making a tax-deductible donation,” Butler said. 6:43pm--#Fairfield CT-- Firefighters on the way to a grease fire in an oven at 2412 South Pine Creek Road. Homeowner reporting the fire is now out. Firefighters will check to make sure the fire is out and did not extend elsewhere. Time for "Plan B", dinner at Taco Loco!
3:29pm--#Fairfield CT--Firefighters free a girl who was pinned underneath a car. I'm working on completing the report. I'm told the child was talking to firefighters. She was transported to Bridgeport Hospital.
