Police Arrest Man With Stolen Gun, Body Armor

(Bridgeport, CT – May 19, 2014) – A city man was arrested last week after police caught him with a stolen gun and body armor. Officers Keith Hanson and Anthony Caiazzo attempted to pull over a vehicle Thursday night but the driver refused to stop. Police followed the vehicle to Tudor Street, where the driver abruptly stopped and fled on foot. The vehicle coasted backwards and nearly struck one of the officers. Caiazzo detained the remaining occupants of the car. Hanson, after jumping out of the way of the suspect’s vehicle, gave chase on foot of the fleeing suspect. Police Seek Assistance in Identifying Robber

(Bridgeport, CT -- May 19, 2014) – Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who held up a liquor store Friday afternoon. The suspect robbed Mendez Liquor Store, 490 East Main St. The suspect walks with a slight limp and displayed a chrome handgun. He stole cash and a bottle of liquor from the business. Fairfield News: One in Custody For Reckless Driving & Hitting a Building

7:30pm--#Fairfield CT-- One in custody after a brief search for a driver that was seen driving reckless driving in the Tunxis Hill Road area.   The driver also cut across an alley way hitting Tunxis Hill Package Store at 143 Tunxis Hill Road and then sped off.  It took about 20 minutes before police apprehended him. Bridgeport News: 2 in Custody After Slow Speed Pursuit and Manhunt

7:15pm--A slow speed pursuit that started on Wood Avenue near Maplewood Avenue continued across North Avenue and ended near Capital Avenue when the two suspects fled on foot.  The first suspect was quickly apprehend and a foot pursuit following a manhunt for the second suspect took more time.  He was finally apprehended in a backyard on Hillside Avenue.   Good thing they weren't as slick as Joe's Oil, Joe even has rapid dispatch!
