Lottery Winner Arrested
#Bridgeport, CT – May 20, 2014)– A 30-year-old was arrested Monday after he twice created a disturbance at a Fairfield Avenue store.
Officer Marie Cetti responded to the SK Grocery Store at 5:25 p.m. on a report of a disturbance. The employee stated that the suspect, Kahraman Asad, of Bridgeport, had purchased scratch-off lottery tickets, won $10 and wanted to cash it in.
The employee informed Asad that he would have to wait because he was assisting another customer at the lottery machine, and Asad got upset and began throwing various items that were on the counter.
Cetti issued Asad a citation for creating a public disturbance and cautioned him not to return to the store.
Cetti was sent back a short time later after Asad allegedly returned and threatened the employee.
Asad was located on Harral Avenue and was charged with second-degree threatening and first-degree criminal trespass.
His bond was set at $500.
