9:-02 pm--#Bridgeport CT--Firefighters on scene at 1972 Noble Avenue. Initial call said structure fire, turns out to be brush burning in a barrel in the backyard.
7:11pm--#cttraffic--A state trooper was hit by a car while sitting in his car on the Wheeler Moses Bridge. EMS and additional troopers on the way.
2:10pm--#Bridgeport CT--Today's car fire is on Reservoir Avenue near Sylvan Avenue. Firefighter on scene putting it out! Police requested to help with traffic. Avoid the area if you can.

#Bridgeport, CT – Jan. 31, 2014 – A city man was arrested Thursday on a warrant charging him with a felony domestic violence warrant. Officer Christopher Martin responded to a Holly Street address on Wednesday on a report that a man, Sammy Hill, 39, was attempting to assault a relative. On scene, police determined that Hill also had a felony domestic violence warrant. Hill had fled the scene and police checked several locations but could not locate him. Police were called back Thursday on information that he had returned. Martin, Officer Paul Nikola and Lts. John Cummings and Kevin Gilleran, among others, responded. They were provided with information that he might have a gun and that he had substance abuse…
