Local 200 Announce Tentative Agreement With Bridgeport

#Bridgeport CT-- The City and Laborer’s International Union of North America, Local 200 have signed a tentative agreement which calls for union members to take 6.5 furlough days to achieve the union’s targeted goal of $91,021 in savings to the City.  So far, Unaffiliated workers, LIUNA and the Typographical (Printer’s) Union are taking furloughs to help close the $2 million budget gap. “Our membership voted overwhelmingly to work with the City, agreeing to take furloughs to help close the budget gap and avoid potential job losses for our members,” said Cory Bromley, LIUNA Local 200 Business Manager. “Thank you to LIUNA members for stepping up to the plate and being leaders to assist us in closing the budget shortfall,” said Mayor…

Armed robbery

11:11pm--#Bridgeport CT--Police are looking for two males, 16-20 years of age for an armed robbery that took place outside 2210 East Main Street.  one male wore blue jeans, black puffy jacket gray hoodie underneath  and the other wore a Northface jacket, blue jeans and a  hat with a yellow brim.  A gun was displayed.  Both fled on foot.
