Loan to help CT car race track

The State of Connecticut  will provide Thompson International Speedway, LLC with an $800,000 loan to upgrade its existing facility in Thompson. Founded in 1940, the company has 48 employees and plans to hire at least 23 more employees over the next two years. “This is a terrific story of a new generation bringing their talent, skills and entrepreneurship home to the family business and Connecticut,” Governor Malloy said. “It capitalizes on one of our state’s strengths – our location – and serves a growing regional market for sports entertainment and tourism, employs and create jobs for residents and brings out-of-state spending into the local economy.” DECD will provide the $800,000 loan at 2 percent interest for a term of 10…

Bullet hits house

12:03am--#Bridgeport CT-- #Stratford CT--A caller near the McDonald's on Barnum Avenue in Stratford called police for shots fired and police found nothing.  About 30 minutes later a man in the 100 block of Sage Avenue in Bridgeport, not far from Barnum Avenue called police that he heard shots fired and found a bullet hole in in house.  Police are investigating.

Car hits house

12:03am--#Stratford CT--Multiple reports of a car hitting a house on Columbus Avenue and Guzzi Drive.  The driver is attempting to flee the scene according to witnesses, but police got him.  He has facial injuries according to radio reports.  Hope the homeowner calls our friends at Intag Builders.  3 generation of builders will get back in shape in no time!
