#Bridgeport, CT – Dec. 9, 2013 – A city man faces narcotics charges after being questioned by policeSunday.

Officers Jonathan Duharte and Phillip Norris observed the suspect in the area of Washington Terrace and Washington Avenue, an area know for narcotics sales and prostitution. The suspect, later identified as Eugene Brown, 29, of Bridgeport, appeared to be disoriented and continued to reach into his coat pocket while looking from side to side. That behavior, in addition to the fact that Brown told police that he was under the influence of PCP, prompted further investigation.

Police summoned an ambulance to check out Brown but, as medics attempted to treat him, he refused to remove his left arm from his jacket sleeve.

In his left hand, police recovered crack cocaine. He was charged with possession of narcotics and possession with intent to sell. Bond was set at $2,500.

(To our media partners: Brown has an extensive criminal record if you want to check on the judicial database)
