#Bridgeport, CT – Nov. 18. 2013 – Police are investigating two commercial robberies that happenedSunday.

The first happened at Koshta Convenience Store at 1489 Stratford Ave. just after 5 p.m.The victim told Officer Lori Nieves that he was in the kitchen area of the store when three males entered the area behind the counter by kicking in the door. Two of the men detained the victim while the third emptied the cash register. The men fled when another employee, who was in the bathroom, began banging on the door. The males escaped with cash and a pack of vanilla-flavored cigars. Detectives James Borrico and Chris Borona responded to investigate.

Then, at 9:40 p.m., an armed male entered the Subway restaurant at 533 Broadbridge Road. Officers Michael Stanitis and Fabio Pereira  responded on a robbery report. The employee stated that he was mopping the floor when the robber entered the store. He went behind the counter to take the man’s order but the man instead pulled out a gun and demanded money. The robber fled the store. No one was injured.
