Pedestrian hit update

(Bridgeport, CT) -- Police Tuesday identified a 51-year-old man who was injured Monday morning  in an incident on Old Town Road. Donald Denke suffered head and leg injuries in the accident at Old Town and Sunnydale Road.  Based on the initial investigation, Denke was securing a small excavator on a parked trailer when an eastbound motorist struck the rear of the trailer. Denke's most recent addresses were in Wilton and Bridgeport. He suffered serious injuries. The driver of the vehicle has tentatively been identified as John Lang, who is about 87-years-old and lives in Trumbull. The victim was taken to Saint Vincent's Medical Center, where he is being treated. The accident remains under investigation and no charges have been filed.…

TRUMBULL MAN ADMITS INVOLVEMENT IN ORGANIZED CRIME-CONTROLLED GAMBLING RING

Deirdre M. Daly, Acting United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that RICHARD UVA, also known as “Big Baldy,” 44, of Trumbull, formerly of Stamford, pleaded guilty today before United States Magistrate Judge Thomas P. Smith in Hartford to one count of conspiring to violate the federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act stemming from his involvement in organized-crime controlled gambling businesses. Manhunt in Trumbull

6:33pm--#Trumbull CT #Bridgeport CT-- Police were in pursuit of a car when the two males fled on foot in the Frenchtown Old Town Road area.  I was on the road when the call came in and I believe  they said the men were wanted in connection for larceny.  State Police, Trumbull and Bridgeport Police combined along with their K-9 in the manhunt.  Police have the passenger in custody and are still looking for the driver.  If you live in the area and see someone running in your backyard call 911 immediately.

Car crashes into plaza

1:11pm---#Fairifield CT--Firefighters responded to the White Birch Plaza (Doughnut Inn) on Black Rock Turnpike this afternoon after a car crashed into the Hair Company creating a very hairy situation for the business owner.  Firefighters had to assist the driver out of the vehicle and AMR was treating the person at the scene.  It is unknown if the driver was transported to the hospital or how the accident occurred.
