(Bridgeport, CT -- Aug. 19, 2013) – A 32-year-old woman was held on $75,000 bond after gunfire and a police chase. Lt. William Bailey and Officer Gerald Lavin were in the 500 block of Trumbull Avenue Saturday when they observed a car pull up a block away. A male got out of the car and fired numerous shots before jumping back into the car and fleeing. The driver, later identified as Amelia Rhodes, of Bridgeport, sped off, nearly striking the police vehicle, and led police on a chase. She crashed in the area of Chopsey Hill Road and Summit Street.
