Last night a fire broke out at the corner of Park Avenue and Worth Street. As we were first to report police quickly connected a shooting on Linen Avenue a few blocks away might be connected to this fire. By 2:20 am police had secured a warrant for the home. Tonight a body was discovered in the home. We were there as the major crime scene truck arrived to set shop and begin investigating. I did confirm that there was a body discovered in the home but police are not sure how it may be related which is why they are investigating.

Why would the police need a warrant to search an abandoned house? (guessing abandoned from boarded up windows)
The house was not abandoned. Many were rescued from the blaze. See: http://www.doingitlocal.com/2013/05/fire-in-bridgeport-may-be-connected-to-homicide/
