12:03pm--#Norwalk CT--Firefighters on the way to 45 Glover Avenue for a possible structure fire, smoke filling the kitchen. A surge on the street that tripped a fuse in the area may have triggered this. UI is on the scene working to restore power.
1:44am--#Trumbull CT--A burglary is in progress on Old Town Road near Red Oak Lane. K-9 from Bridgeport brought the scene.

Since the beginning of the school year, the Police Department worked with the Board of Education to complete a comprehensive review of security at every school in the city, both public and private. “It was a huge undertaking, but this effort has made our schools among the most secure in the state,” said Mayor Bill Finch. “I can’t say enough about the collaboration and effort that went into pulling all these pieces together.
