12:44am--#Fairfield CT--Police are on scene of a hit and run accident on Kings Highway near Villa Avenue. The car sped off at a high rate of speed. No reported injuries.
#Bridgeport CT -- April 29, 2013) – A disc jockey from Waterbury was cited for threatening after an encounter at a Black Rock bar. Police were called to O’Shea, 2770 Fairfield Ave., Sunday at 1:48 a.m. on a complaint from the owner that a DJ he hired had threatened him. According to the owner, he hired Sheila Lawrence, 46, for the night but had specifically instructed her not to play rap music from her playlist. The last song she played was a rap song, so the owner instructed his staff to turn up the lights and close the bar. That sparked an argument in which Lawrence allegedly threatened to shoot the owner. 10:42pm--#Stratford CT--A car crashed into a utilty pole at Nichols Avenue and London Terrace. Police on scene reporting a small car fire.
10:40pm--#Bridgeport CT--Police on scene at Marina Village reporting 10-15 shots fired. Unknown if anyone or anything is it.
7:11pm--#Bridgeport CT #Fairfield CT--Fairfield Police are in Bridgeport at Henderson and Seltsam Road with a van pulled over wanted for threatening with a firearm in Fairfield. Both police departments are on scene. Fairfield Police have the man in custody.
Just after 3am Monday morning firefighters were called to 175 Hanford Avenue for a structure fire. Firefighters arriving on scene reported heavy fire from the back of the structure and concerns to the building to the left of the house catching fire due to the heat and fire. Additional alarms were called in including a evacuation tone which caused firefighters to evacuated the building and take a defensive approach to the fire. It was about an hour before fighters were able to shift from a defensive mode to an offensive mode and take control to the fire. I spoke many EMS heroes and they said no one was injured in the fire. #Bridgeport CT #ctfire--Fire rips through home on Hanford Street home in Bridgeport tonight. Evacuation tone was sounded for firefighters to evacuate. It took almost an hour for firefighter to get control of the fire to go from defensive to offensive mode to fight the fire. NO injuries reported to firefighters or those in the building.
