©2:42pm–Bridgeport–Report of a man armed with a shot gun firing in the area of Reservoir Ave and Soundview Ave.  Multiple calls coming in, police on the way.  2:49 UPDATE -Police on scene find nothing.  Interviewing neighbors and they say the shots sounded as if it came from Trumbull Ave. area.  Police locate nothing. 3:14pm–Police still on the scene investigating.

©1:28am–Bridgeport–Multiple guns shots at Marina Village, patrol officer reporting at least 20 shots fired.  Officers on scene agree it came from a hand gun(s).    Two victims down at Columbia and South  and Columbia Ridge Streets (not intersecting streets but description for Marina Village) .  One victim very serious the other serious, one transported to St. Vincent’s the other to Bridgeport Hospital.  Police chase down 2  black males all in dark clothing heading  down Columbia Street heading towards UB.    Suspects found under the parking garage at 557 Atlantic Street.  Police also had to hand a large crowd at the crime scene.  Police are still processing the crime scene.

 

Bridgeport–Shortly after 11:00pm tonight shotguns rang out at 370 Center Street.  .  Calls also came in from Grand street as well for the same shooting.  Police are looking for a black pickup truck that shot into the air in the area, but at any person or property.

 

Ted Koppy let go at WTNH. As his bio on WTNH’s website says: “Ted Koppy served as an anchor and general assignment reporter for News 8 from October 2004 until April of 2011.”   We have been told by sources that he was “paid out” through October when his contract runs out.

Recently Geoff Fox’s contract was not renewed without negotiations with Fox.  Online protests erupted  until Fox61 recently hired him.    On a personal note it was always a pleasure working with Ted at many news stories, he is a true professional.

9:35am–Bridgeport–A woman falls from train platform while walking distracted breaking both legs. MTA says video shows a woman walking backwards looking at either wallet or cell phone then disappearing off platform.  She was identified as Hyang Ja Bak Lee, thought to be from New York City.  She was transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital where her condition remains unknown.

3:11pm–Trumbull–This four door wagon caught fire tying up traffic until fire department was able to put out the blaze. Special thanks to Frank Dux for uploading the photo to us. No word on any injuries, we will update if we get any updates.
