Dice Convenience Smoke Shop Employee Arrested After Cannabis Seizure; Products Test Positive for Fentanyl

On Friday, May 29, 2026, the Bridgeport Police Department’s Narcotics and Vice Division, working alongside the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection Drug Control Division, the Bridgeport Fire Inspectors Office, and the Bridgeport Health and Building Departments, executed a search and seizure warrant at Dice Convenience Smoke Shop, located at 4016 Main Street. During the operation, authorities seized approximately 23.24 pounds of cannabis and THC-related products as part of an ongoing effort to address the illegal sale of cannabis products from smoke shops in Bridgeport. Officers also recovered $654 in cash believed to be proceeds from illegal sales. Bridgeport Woman Fatally Stabbed at Park Avenue Rooming House; Homicide Investigation Underway

The Bridgeport Police Department is investigating the death of a woman found stabbed at a Park Avenue rooming house shortly after midnight on Tuesday. Officers were dispatched to the 350 block of Park Avenue around 12:05 am for an altercation involving numerous persons. The victim, 41-year-old Willesha Riddick of Bridgeport, was bleeding and unresponsive at the front door of the house. She was transported by ambulance to St. Vincent's Hospital and pronounced deceased. It was determined Ms. Reddick was stabbed multiple times. A second female suffered a minor stab wound at the house. Man Suffers Neck Laceration in Reported Knife Assault on Bridgeport’s East Side

Bridgeport Police are investigating a reported knife assault that occurred in the area of Donald Court and Eckart Street. At approximately 8:47 a.m., officers responded after a man reported being assaulted by a woman armed with a knife. The victim suffered a non-life-threatening laceration to the neck. No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing. Police said no additional information is available at this time.

Two Shot In Bridgeport

Bridgeport Police responded to the 690 block of Beechwood Avenue around 1:10am after multiple ShotSpotter activations. When officers arrived, they located one victim with a gunshot wound. That victim was transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital by AMR. A second victim later self-transported to Bridgeport Hospital by private vehicle with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. No arrests have been made, and the Bridgeport Police Department is investigating. Further information will be provided once available.

Bridgeport Police Seize 105 Pounds Of Cannabis

On Friday, March 13, 2026, in a coordinated effort, the Bridgeport Police Department’s Narcotics and Vice Division, together with the DEA Bridgeport Field Office, The Bridgeport Fire Inspectors Office, and the Bridgeport Building Department, executed a search and seizure warrant at 51 Boston Avenue, operating as Dubai High Tobacco & Vape.  During the operation, officers successfully seized approximately 105 lbs. of Cannabis and THC related products, addressing ongoing concerns through the city of Bridgeport as it relates to the illegal sale of cannabis and THC related products by smoke shop establishments. Officers also seized $6,788.00 Us currency believed to be proceeds from the illegal sale of Cannabis / THC products.   This is the second successful seizure from this establishment in the last year.
