Tonight the Ghost Adventure TV Show that spotlights Remington Arms Ammunition Plant in Bridgeport, Connecticut will premier on the Travel Channel at 9 PM.. The members of the Ghost Adventure Tv show Nick, Aaron, and Zak go to some of the most haunted locations throughout the World. This episode was filmed in the summer of 2009 and was an exciting one for all involved.. Remington Arms is the location where there have been 10 tragic deaths documented throughout the years. There have been people that have been killed by explosions, electrocutions, and by being struck by a wooden baton. The show highlighted some of the well known local paranormal investigators: 826 Paranormal / Bridgeport Police Officer James Myers, Author Donald Carter, and John Zaffis.
The cast of the Ghost Adventure TV Show looked shocked when when Police Officer James Myers told them of these deaths. Myers also told them "If they smelled anything putrid and saw lots of flies, they might want to come get an officer." They looked at Myers and asked "are you saying we could find a dead body within the factory?" Myers stated "yes." There have been many times where police have had to chase out vagrant or homeless people. Within the last two years there has been 3 fires that were probably set by the homeless taking shelter in this location.
Interviewing Myers about the show, he stated that there was a direct connection between him and the Remington Plant. This was not uncovered until after the filming was done in the summer time. Myers' great grandmother Kay used to work at the factory during the time of the great explosion. On that fateful day in 1942, Kay was supposed to work at the building that the explosion took place in, but for some reason Kay switched places with a co-worker, and was not there that day.
This was the same great grandmother that Myers found out that was Lorraine Warren's next door neighbor.
As Myers watched the Ghost Adventure DVD, he stated that" They did a great job." There was some things that were covered that even surprised him. Myers stated that he has done a lot of research on the location , but never heard anything about the two men dying in the smelting pots. He stated that he would have to do more research on this event. Once the interviews and the walk threw was done . Myers along with other officers cleared the building for the protection of the cast. They were ready to go, the gates were locked and they were in their overnight "lock down".
The show has some good evidence of EVP phenomena. They caught what sounds like a gun shot coming from one of their recorders. The weird spot on the tapes was that the gun shot only showed up on one of four recorders. The shot is followed by a female scream. There is then a car horn being blown outside and this is caught on all the recorders. "Why would the gun shot and scream only be on one of the recorders, while all the recorders at the same time picked up on a car horn.?" Myers stated that this looked like they may have caught a residual haunting. This means a recording of time that plays over and over again. The Ghost adventure team caught numerous voice phenomena and a misty figure walking through the area Myers has seen shadow figures in the past.
Myers stated that he has taken hundreds of photos inside the Remington plant over the years, so this investigation was exciting for him. It was good to finally work with Nick , Aaron , and Zak. They have a lot of energy and they take the investigations very serious.
There is talk that there might be another paranormal show that will be working with Myers in Bridgeport in the very near future. Myers "Overall it went very well."
I'm happy to be contributing to DoingItLocal.com, but I'm also learning a few things in this new era of Technology Changes The News. "Connecticut" has too many letters, and it makes writing headlines with limited space a challenge. I'm sure more than a few new, wet-behind-the-ears, noobie online media CEO's are wishing our founding fathers had just called it Conncut or something like that. Would have been easier... but you have to be careful with the creative word shortening, if you know what I mean. And I just don't thing "CT" cuts it in a headline... I don't like trivializing our great state down to two letters. That's just BS...
